Historic fachwerk technology, reimagined
A simple geometric shape of the «floating» roof feels at home in our new FACHWERK house project. Fachwerk is a high-quality, durable, historical building technology. In modern architecture it is one of the oldest concepts of construction, while being one of the most prestigious and desired in private housing.
Our task in this project was to create a project of a simple, energy efficient and at the same time beautiful house based on fachwerk technology.
Thanks to panoramic glazing and a large front porch, the volume of our house is not limited to the glass facade.
The feeling of freedom and lightness caused by the light post-beam system is complemented by a large area of a mirror-like glass coating, which partly makes the house invisible, reflecting the sky and the surrounding landscape.
The internal layout of FACHWERK house is open to any customer's ideas. In a standard configuration, 110 square meters accommodate a simple logical layout with one bathroom, a spacious bedroom and a common area for the kitchen and living room.
FACHWERK house was originally designed for a private customer in Karelia, and then became one of the main models of private villas of the "up to 150 m2" class in Alex Nerovnya Architecture.
The house was created to comfortably accommodate a young family with a child, but it can also be used as a guest house and for tourism purposes.
